Kohei Nawa: solo exhibition "Kohei Nawa - SYNTHESIS" at Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo

Kohei Nawa's first solo show in Japan's Museum will be held in Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo.

This solo show is titled "SYNTHESIS" which includes the meanings of "combination" and "integration".
In addition to his unique categorization; BEADS / PRISM / LIQUID / GLUE / SCUM / DRAWING / MOVIE that comes along with the concept of the "Cell", about 100 works including his new series such as Polygon / .eXe / Villus will be exhibited in this show. Most of these works were made last year in Japan as well as all over the world.

Last year, Kohei had a solo show in SCAI THE BATHHOUSE and participated in some biennales; "14th Asian Art biennale Bangladesh 2010" "Busan biennale 2010". What is more, he is having the projects with SEIBU Shibuya for decorating window displays, also designing YUZU's music album "2 -NI-". This will be a fascinating opportunity that these recent works and his unexhibited new works will be gathered and shown within a museum space.
